In a more serious vein Lisax do what wannabe actors do, appear on blind date.

For example when they wer twenty ish Don Johnson, Michelle Pfeifer and Tom Sellick to name but three appeared on the American version of blind date.

It's difficult to believe these three people couldn't get a date isn't it?

It was simply to get there faces on the box, and so can you.

The only problem with kev100's advice is that they're not amking Blind Date anymore. But yeah, quiz shows are good - try The Weakest Link, they get through a lot of contestants and it won't cost you anything to apply.

stop wasting time posting on Answerbank and try bombarding you local TV studio with DVDs/Videos of yourself doing whatever it is you want to do(Weather Reporing / News Presenter etc etc)

Lisax - go with the weakest link suggestion.  Its really easy to get on to, you can get the application form from the BBC website and then they hold local auditions where your are tested on camera, and have a shot at a few rounds of the show.  The process is a real laugh, even if you dont get on you'll still find it fun.  p.s.  i came third and was particularly chuffed with myself!!
