i actually cried last night watching an advert about a wife and 3 children making a christmas tape for their soldier dad ,when he walked in .Might be because oh was away a lot in RN and it brought back memories sob sob .

IMHO it's the best of the current lot doing the rounds because of its simplicity.
It's not about expensive presents or food or booze, it's just being at home surrounded by family at the one time of the year that families tend to gather.
Whilst serving in HM Forces, travelling home for Xmas(on the odd occasion that it happened!) was always very special.
