Natalie had dance lessons from the age of three and has claims to be a trained dancer on her cv.
A lot of people just don't like her. Her dancing technique is very good, but it would be, wouldn't it? Her dancing lacks charisma, personality and there is no connection with her partner. She hasn't really improved from week 1 - she has always been more than able to dance.
For an actor her acting at being modest is very poor and I imagine some of the other contestants have been sticking pins in Natalie dolls.

I do not agree with all these negative comments about Natalie. She is a fab dancer and I do not care if she had lessons years ago. She takes my breath away when she dances and I for one would be more than happy if she won. I would like it to be Brendan and Sophie, but don't really think it will be them. I hope Susannah doesn't win, I think she's overrated, although I like the relationship she has with Kevin. Glad Patrick went and not Natalie.
I'd like Abby to win, she dances really well and comes across as a nice person (to me, anyrate) Natalie has done some lovely dances with Artem, but I can't take to her. Sophie seems to get better and better now that she is allowing herself to smile from time to time, and Susanna appears to be in the final on the public vote - it will be interesting next week.
Oh dear. As already pointed out by ladybirder that comment of mine was firmly tongue in cheek, but of course there is back stage bitching and rivalry and it must be challenging for a person who has never had a dance lesson and has two left feet to find them up against a person who, according to their cv, would dance professionally before the competition started.
You're like me ladybirder, I would LOVE Sophie and Brendan to win, Brendan has always been my favourite. Would be more than happy for Natalie to win though and I'm sure hc is more than able to defend himself, oh yes, there we go, he has .... Of course a comment is always 'tongue in cheek' when it's challenged !!
viv, there is nothing sinister or abusive in my saying that other pros may be sticking pins in a Natalie shaped doll.
We both know that in reality they are not, but they may be a teeny bit resentful of her.
Natalie didn't just have a few dance lessons years ago - she trained from the age of three to such a level she can put 'dancer' on her professional cv. You must realise that means that had she been offered a paid dancing role as a professional dancer before she was in Strictly she would have been able to do it?
