Leanne got a black eye from Nick it was a moment of frustration from Nick due to his illness he didn't really mean it Steve got a slap from Michelle due to her Christmas present of a blouse which Steve said he choose but his college friend Andrea helped him choose it and Michelle found out but saw the funny side of it and forgave him.

Yes but one is considered serious enough to consider the police and the other is a laugh in the pub

No the police were called because Sally's handbag was stolen at the centre for homeless people, when the police arrived they were sidetracked as Tina and Kylie were fighting outside the pub and Kylie was arrested for assault.

The Police in Weatherfield are so accommodating when I had my bag snatched they didn't even come (and it wasn't even Christmas day)

yes they would show up for the opening of an envelope, they see to come immediately they are called, and a squad car with two or four policemen, didn't see on the weather news that there was snow in Manchester today there was plently in the Street for a snow fight and snowmen although the characters of Hayley and Roy were poignant!

yes it is a funny old world and soaps reflect the world we live in. The two slaps are treated differently because it is all down to the circumstances surrounding each slap.
