I have just defected to VM from Sky+, mostly I've got he hang of it but does anyone know how I can start watching a recorded program from a specific point? eg in sky+ you can select a time by pressing say 26 to start at the 26th minute but in VM the only choices are "resume" and "from beginning". I know all about the skipping back and forth etc but I often want to reposition at a specific minute in a program and find this a shortcomming in VM, thanks. BTW I have googled and looked at the VM site to no avail.

I'm assuming it's a Tivo box ??
If so, you'll notice when playing a recording, there's a green bar that represents the "play line". Along this play line are several vertical lines. You can forward wind and rewind at 3 different speeds through this play line. The buttons on the remote, directly below the rewind and forward wind allow you to skip directly to the vertical lines (I think they represent 15 minute intervals) ..... so in essence you can get to within 15 minutes of where you want to be and then either forward wind, or rewind to the desired point.

yes thanks, GM, I was well aware of how to do it that way, it just seems an obvious omission, especially as the idea is to poach Sky customers, still It's mostly very good but I guess there will allways be differences in these sorts of systems.
i have noticed if i watch something i have recorded and stop play to go out etc when i want to watch it again it asks resume playing so i dont have to look for where i was hope that helps
