MrG had a large stamp collection......must do something with them.

Yesterday I moved them then found one that had fallen on the floor. It was a large stamp.....Hungarian I think.....depicting an ear....with a large lobe and not too pretty.

I think the late MrG is nagging me to get my ear problem sorted.....☺

I suppose the stamp had something to do with health/hearing.....but it is an ugly stamp.

I will have them valued at some point......I think I have put the albums in the attic but I have the ones he didn't want in albums in a cupboard and in envelopes depending on country....bar the ear one.

If I find a Penny Black will I have lots of friends?....☺

Eldest Grandson likes to collect in a not very serious way and I recalled it from an assorted pack I bought from an Oxfam shop - it is a 1972 issue.

My Hungarian is rather rusty, but the inscription seems to be commemorating the Eleventh Audiology Congress, in Budapest, in 1972.

Thank you, Mamya....just peeked in the envelopes...there are hundreds of stamps. Must hunt down the albums now, but it's a sorting task for a long winter's evening I think.

One envelope has made me smile.....it's labeled...Commonwealth. Not Wanted!
