I have been hooked on The Good Wife since Series One Episode One.
I think Juliana Margulies is just a classically gorgeous woman, especially the still shot they use on the credits. The way the arch of her eyebrows brings out her cheekbones, her aquiline nose, and those fabulous eyes - she is just beautiful.
I had been thinking that this series was maybe coasting a little, and then ... powee! It all kicked off! I am now on the edge of my seat, and loving every minute.
The good wife has done a 180 degree turn now and I agree,it is certainly up in the air just what will happen next at any one time! My 2 particular favourites are Eli and Kalinda, who are both fascinating characters. I've also watched Suits from the beginning, and I love how "quick" it is and that you need to watch it with your full attention. Again,my particular favourite,is a side character, the wonderful Louis/Luis ;-)
The characters arre wonderful - the wit and interplay is cracking, and like all good American dramas, you need to pay close attention, because resurgence of characters and poltlines is never explained, you are supposed to know because you have been keeping up.
I strongly recomend that you get the first two series on box sets and dive in!
It probably rates as my favourite show, certainly my favourite american import. I am lucky enough to be able to catch the latest series as broadcast in the USA, and there are some very interesting plot developments down the line... :)
Juliana M is indeed gorgeous - what is she doing staying with that bounder Peter Florrick? He's all ready to jump his new aide, and then it will be a re-run - I hope - Alicia's scenes with Will in the early series fairly sizzled...Diane is a very interesting character.
margie04 - I wonder if Peter is genuinely contrite and will avoid temptation - or is he the proverbial leopard?
I like Calinda a lot - she always says 'I'll find out...' and works her mysterious magic and comes up with the goods. Thank heavens they ditched her storyline about her dysfunctional marriage - it was trite and tacky and distracting.
One of my favourite shows on the box at the moment. Can't help wondering what the new aide is up to though, I reckon there's much more to that storyline but hopefully Peter will keep it firmly in his pants, ;)
