/// But police never questioned the celebrity and he has not given evidence at Ben’s inquest, where the coroner agreed his identity should be protected. ///
Will this lead to a guessing game in which all TV comedians are liable to come under suspicion?

Gay men are not generally unprincipled hedonistic monsters - had he been seeing a female celeb, the word grooming would never have been mentioned.
here's a more objective report

and the Daily Perv has published a photo of our dear married Prime Minister addressing the students at a completely innocent question and answer session. THAT wont please the Maxwell Cliffords of no 10 !
MC used in the sense of publiq relations only I stress
Even with the slant the Perv has put on it it is obvious that there were other issues besides going to bed with another man.
Presumably the email - pleeeeease come and see me ! which was sent by the kid to the man was used to show that pressure was not an issue
in R v Evans there are a string of young men saying they went to bed in boxer shorts with the deputy speaker and - incredibly for them they woke up being assaulted, the idea of which had never never entered their befuddled minds before they stripped off. We will have no idea what the jury is making of that.

There was enough fuss made over the Michael Barrymore case, which cost this very talented person future fame.
*** The inquest into the death of Lubbock commenced in September 2002 and the true extent of Barrymore's lifestyle, including drug taking and alcoholism was revealed. ***
/// Gay men are not generally unprincipled hedonistic monsters - had he been seeing a female celeb, the word grooming would never have been

Well of course not one doesn't hear of women grooming men, although there are some who will 'entice' men.
*** DC Gadsby said Ben had told the nurse about a private party at a separate address. ‘At some point during this party a group of men got Ben to strip and began playing with him. Another guest told them to stop.’ ***
*** Another nurse told how Ben claimed to have been raped. But once he had used the word he never returned to the subject. ***
All this sounds pretty monstrous to me.
