Tivo Box -Slowww Catch Up

My Tivo Box works fine apart from the fact that from day 1(i have had it for @ 6 months) catch up/demand is verry slow.My old VM box was instant.
Is this a characteristic of tivo ( as boot up also takes lot longer than VM box) or a fault ?( I want to know before i phone them)

i was wondering same thing mines slow too and plays up alot more on catch up than my old box did

Yes, mine TiVO is slow as well. Takes ages to start up when switched on and sometimes when I click on the home button the red screen takes several seconds to load.

Do you also find that when scrolling down the list of programmes it gets stuck so you have to click on the back button and start again?

Can't control volume from remote either.
Oh and i hate the fact it has no visible clock like the old box

For me Catch Up is slowest when you first start it and worst when i click play for programme
Fwd/rewind is another problem on Catch up - it just jumps in big stages(Fwd/rewind works fine on recorded shows though)
Old non-tivo box never had these problems
Youtube on Tivo -this is equivalent to dial up at times

Do love the fact u can pause live tv and record up to 3 programes at once
