RIP Ryk.
Terrible news - not since Laurel and Hardy did someone capture the essence of slapstick violence so perfectly.
R.I.P... my best to his family... I loved him in the young ones, bottom and not forgetting Mr Alan B'stard. most notably to me ... truly taken aback though.
What a shame. I always liked him best as Kevin Turvey. He'll be missed.
Really sorry to hear this :(
Kevin Turvey the vast bogey... forgot about him.
I think that after he had a quad bike accident a few years ago, he has suffered epilepsy. He was at deaths door at the time and boasted that he did better than JESUS. Sad that he has gone.
R.I.P. Rik, loved you in The Young Ones and Bottom, you'll be sadly missed.

Here's a clip of Rik in one of his lesser known movie appearances, An American Werewolf in London:-

I burst into tears when I heard. End of an era. My mum used to let me stay up to watch The Young Ones.

RIP...so sad.
