I watch this and am totally amazed at how much money is spent on the above. Where on earth do the gypsies get that kind of money - they live like millionaires.

They do a lot of work "cash in hand" and I don`t somehow believe that they then go home and file a tax return. There was a huge gypsy funeral here last year - I`ve never seen so many BMWs and Mercs in my life

And they don't have any settled place to live or pay rates etc if I'm allowed to say that.

I have seen most of my answers at the very bottom of the page so I will peruse.

I don`t know tony. The police closed the road at one point and I pulled over (to have a good gawp). All of the vehicles were either utility vans or Mercs, BMWs and Lexus. You could tell when all of the travellers had passed through because the traffic became "normal" again (old cars etc).

They have no council tax, electric bill, gas bill, water rates, mortgage or rent to pay. They don't pay for clearing up when they move on.
They do have to pay for diesel (probably), road tax and insurance for their trucks (possibly).
They recycle scrap from households and copper wire, aluminium etc. from other places.
They buy and sell horses within their community and make large bets on the outcome of trotting races and bare knuckle fights.
Not had one round selling pegs or lucky white heather for a while.

I was the gravedigger at a large gypsy funeral many moons ago, they had 36 black Rolls Royces for the mourners.

I never got a penny extra!

Some must pay council tax though because there are hard standings for them. We have one here. The local councillor`s always on their back about the fly tipping though - I think he would have retired years ago if he didn`t have such a bee in his bonnet about it!

If they're on a permanent site they should pay rent for the pitch which includes a contribution to council tax and electricity.

It costs the councils a lot of money to remove the rubbish dumped by fly tippers, so at the end of the day it's the council tax payer thats the loser.
