update=went to concert last night it was brilliant, there was no frills just singing, his backing group was out of this world, very enjoyable, highly recommended. My only downside was we left the house to go to Edinburgh at 6.15pm,it usually is an hours drive,BUT'because Ibrox was shut for the opening ceremony, celtic was playing in murrayfield, the traffic was horrendous, eventually got there at 8.30pm and the man was already on stage at 8.15,by the time I was settled he had already sang three songs.he didn't have an interval.i still loved his concert.it was as bad on the way home, getting in at 5 past midnight.

I've seen him quite a few times. Alaway been fantastic...
Your son might well laugh kate, did you have to check with him which ground it was, unforgiveable but I will let you off.You must have been cursing being late but I am glad you had a good time anyway,I do not know much about Van Morrison I think they are too head-banging for me,that will also make your son laugh!
He used to play at the Fleadh.....and the Pogues. Great days :-)
I saw him upstage Bob Dylan at Finsbury Park many moons ago.

Bob was in his whiney stage and VM wasn't grumpy.

I did have to ask the name of the park twice(I have short term memory,no kidding)
ummmm

We must have been in the same audience :-)
Question Author
went to see bob Dylan at the beginning of the year, was'nt to keen on him, would'nt go back to see another.
Hi again kate, you may have short memory problems but that is nothing compared to me,I was getting mixed up between Van Morrison and Van Halen?doh
I saw Van Morrison at the Guildford music festival years ago. He was brilliant but he spent most of the evening with his back turned towards the audience as if he was just having a private jamming session with his band. I thought that was rather rude but I have heard he isn`t the most socialble person so maybe that is why.
