Lovejoy Returning?

Ian McShane is returning to Lovejoy. Best theme tune, ever.

A lot was fimed in and around Norwich..he was seen a lot about town..nice chap...loved the programme..

I read that Ian McShane owned the rights to the programme and was hoping to bring it back with him playing a mentor role to a younger actor as Lovejoy.

But, and it's a big but, he was hawking the idea/format around the TV companies trying to drum up interest - which sounds an awful long way from saying it's actually coming back!

I don't think we need a younger Lovejoy. What could be better then Ian McShane and Dudley Sutton reunited as two surreptitious rascals, older but certainly not wiser.

We were mates at Med school and in our first year shared a room in the house of a Jewish Family in Whitechapel who had an 18 year old daughter.....the father was into antiques and that is how John Grant developed the Lovejoy series.
