It's not that it happened so much, but that the family chose to post it online and are now trying to make her famous for it. That says more than a 3 year old swearing

I was mortified when my 2 year old told someone to bog off so if ever she'd said the f word i'd have locked myself away in shame.
Oh, and dancerprancer.....we have the Daily Mail at work which i read most days........bring it on nobster.
Bring what on? The fact that you have degenerated to name-calling? (QED on DM reader mentality).
Hey AP...

I really find it hard to believe that people get 'horrified' but something like this.

How do you cope with life?
I have to admit that when I first saw it a few days ago on FB I giggled at it then said to my oh that I was only laughing because it wasn't one of our grandkids. A bit two faced of me I suppose.
It's funny because it wasn't expected.
Cloverjo...

// I bet no money was given to the cause anyway.//

A rather sweeping statement from you , I am disappointed.
Considering the last report I read 38 million had been raised.
Hello Ummmm :-)
Most of the people I mix with are above getting all het up over a kid saying a naughty word. I think reactions to things like this (on Youtube and elsewhere) are just manifestations of angry people looking for somewhere to vent their bile.
What spooks me out is the phoney snobbery and judgemental behaviour, how can anyone seriously write off people based on one view of one incident online?
I haven't been here for a while and forgot it's a bit 'like that' here (if you know what I mean).
To be honest I found it hilarious because initially I thought they'd uploaded it because she was sweet and she has a rocking Brummie accent. The shock and indignation at the temperature of the water caused her little self to exclaim something I'm sure her Grandparents would generally rather she didn't say. Kids pick things up, my little brother went through a stage of saying 'scheisse!' all over the place when he was about 2, not because people used it front of him but because he'd heard it somewhere. A big deal wasn't made of it and he stopped. It wasn't disgusting, didn't reflect on my family and didn't mean we were all dross. This little girl said 'f 'ing hell', I think to write off her and the whole family as scum on that basis is pretty shallow. how many people who have had kids here seriously have had small children who have never said a 'bad' word, because I find it hard to believe that most kids haven't done that at some point- in which case doesn't that tar us all with the same brush of sweeping generalisaiton?
Kvalidir, I couldn't have put it better myself ...I didn't have put it better myself!

Indeed, and just because she's a sweet little girly girl, doesn't detract from the expletive being fair comment in the circumstances afaic!

I think the haughty views from some ABers is worse than the outburst from the child.
We are talking different generations here..........50 years ago a child would, if he/she dared, would get a "clip around the ear" for swearing, particularly in public.

Today, we are experiencing the new "norm" in childhood behaviour.

The answers reflect one's generation....in general.
Although I must disagree with the approvals of the little girl, I wonder, is it any much worse than having a three year old girl singing, "On the good ship, Lollipop"? Both are child exploitation in my view.
I don't think anyone approves, Obiter, just some laughed while others were 'horried'
she has a rocking Brummie accent

Errrrrr Walsall is in the Black country not Brum.
They all sound the same to me :-)
What do ?
People with a Brum accent.
Hey, Yont. Let's have a chat and see if ummmm can tell the difference.
