Epoxy Floor Paint On Bbc2 100K House Last Night
I wonder if anyone else watched last night's episode of the '100k house' series. At one point, a house floor was covered in some kind of board, and then painted with concrete epoxy paint.
I can't find out what kind of board was used - it seemed to be large pieces with a t&g edge, similar to laminate but with no design on top. The fitter glued /sealed between the board pieces.
I wondered also how epoxy paint would work in a home, as opposed to on the garage floor.
Did anyone else watch this, or have any views?

I was trying to search for information about the paint they used. The tested pink and lime green and it was a 2 part epoxy paint. TB's link is for grey and I can't find any 2-part epoxy paint that has a broad choice of colours.
http:// www.joh nstones trade.c om has a non epoxy paint call Flortred that comes in clear and 16,000 colours but I am not sure it will stand up to the wear and tear as good as an epoxy paint.
Any ideas?

In addition, I'm curious to how this flooring would perform over time. I think that even on a totally stable subfloor, the boards would inevitably shift and move slightly, making the paint job crack along the board joints. Which would just look a bit tatty.
Like innov says, the best quality epoxy paint seems to be in limited colours. It would be very informative to see these architect's solutions revisited in three years time to see how they are wearing.
