British Nationals Murdered Abroad.
Figures from the Foreign Office show that around 60 British nationals are murdered abroad each year. Does the murder of one, no matter how grotesque the circumstances, justify going to war?

AOG...when I last looked at the News, there was no mention that the deaths of these two Brits that have been killed in Thailand was related in any way to terrorism. British people are going to third-world countries more and more these days, and it seems like a risk that they must take into account when planning their hols.
A typically snide little remark from Khandro in his last post. It adds the further slur of cowardice to the the one already implied by the OP with its tendentious phrasing: that people who advocate military action against IS (i.e. those not like him) lack the intellectual capacity to form a balanced and rational view of the situation. Welcome back, K!
On second thoughts will withdraw the phrase "snide little remark" and replace it with "barbed thrust". Must try to stay civil at least for a couple of days.

v_e; Thanks for your welcome (hmmm!). But would you please explain what you mean by the implied slur of cowardice in the OP. and as IS has no meaningful relationship to religion, is your suffering any worse, whichever gang of brigands your son is murdered by? Does misguided motivation make the crime worse?
Talbot; //These 'agents' know the risks of signing up// Yes but they join the armed forces to DEFEND their country. Don't you think enough good men I have already died fighting for dubious causes in foreign territories?

Not sure about that either agchristie ! But I can cook up a mean Jalfrezi. and it is said that Our Boys like nothing better than a good curry !
I had a colleague that served in the 1st Gulf War and he told me that the Brits and the Yanks had a bet on who could make the hottest food. The Yanks came up with their usual Mexican offering but admitted defeat when they tasted our Vindaloo. So perhaps its the Catering Core for me !
