That's the one, Ric......he ruined Antony and Cleopatra for me....a performance at the National when I was hard up and it was a big deal to go there......
By sheer coincidence, at a friend's house a couple of days later, I met a chap who asked about the performance.
I didn't hold back til the chap had a strop...a real theatrical strop.....
Turned out he was "Tony's" dresser....and adored dear "Tony"....☺
Just scan the attatcment and read it, or go to an internet cafe and do it if you don't fancy it on your own. Massive coincidence that you met AH's dresser a couple of days later but I can't imagine you gave him your email address so all very mysterious.
K...when I met the dresser email was but a twinkle in its mother's eye....but I have had a little connection with the KGB...quite by accident...again my curiosity....
Judi Dench was fantastic, Ric....and such a shame she had to perform with someone who was bored with the performance....that showed...and probably in his cups....
I heard that interview too, Ric.....wish he'd decided before accepting the part of Antony......He lolloped around the stage with a silly smirk on his face for the whole performance...... :-(
