It's been mentioned several times that the horse that Tommy has bought with the intention of it running in The Derby is female - but surely female horses run in The Oaks, not The Derby? The Derby is for three-year-old males.

But it can't run in The Derby if it's female!
Who says it's female? I'm sure Tommy and his trainer lady friend know what they're doing.
Have you a link that says the horse is female (in the programme)?
In which episode was the horses sex mentioned, brainiac ?.

I will watch tonights episode on Sunday probably. I expect the 'Derby' to be a blood bath !.
....I hope the horse doesn't die.:-(

Don't put any spoilers on please. I won't be watching it until Sunday, either.
I don't mean the actual horse race, Yilly.
I, know, Yont but the horse could be killed in the race or Mr Campbell, Sir! might nobble it in some way.
Or Tommy might nobble other horses to make sure his horse wins !.
We'll see.

I meant Major Campbell ^
I know, Yilly.
Have we sorted out the sex............ of the horse?
i thought the derby was for 3 year old colts and fillies ...
I honestly can't remember the sex being mentioned.........the horses that is !.
Although if it was mentioned it would most likely have been at the auction I think.
Braniac, you need to tell us why you think the horse is a lady horse.
