Anybody tell me of the best guide to weekly TV listings. There are a few but a bit time consuming.

There were two programmes I wanted to record this week

(I think) they are a short story every night on BBC1 - first with Lisa Riley - don't know what time.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Jenny, could it possibly be 'Moving On' on BBC1 @ 2.15 - 3.00pm?
It's highlighted as new.
Question Author
that's right Elina - will tape that - I thought it was on at night hence my not seeing it on Sky listings.

Thank you
There are online t.v guides Jenny. One I buy for my mum is 'What's On T.V'
Question Author
sorry don't understand as highlighted as "new" -
Question Author
yes could you tell me the best TV online link.
You're welcome!
Just had a tab saying 'New' programme in my t.v mag Jenny. Hang on I'll find you an online one. If someone else hasn't before I've found it ;0)
Add it to your favourites on your computer Jenny so you can go back to it.

thanks Elina - that was the guide I used but I found it very slow moving.
The best online listing site (without any doubt for me) is good old Radio Times:
http://www.radiotimes.com/tv/tv-listings

You can use the search box (at the top left) to instantly find any particular programme you're seeking.

Further, you can tailor the listings shown in the table by clicking on 'My Channels' near to the top right. (You can then either select or deselect the channels you want to be shown in the list or, far easier, just click on 'Freeview' [for example] to show just the relevant channels for the TV service you receive).
Ah, may be someone will come up with a better one Jenny. Here's a link to the episode you've missed. Isn't showing yet as was only on today, but keep checking back it may show up later x http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00vt2q1
That looks a better one Buen!
The Weekend Magazine that comes with the Daily Mail on Saturday is very good it has features and other good articles as well as comprehensive TV listings
I prefer a hard-copy of TV listings...the best is Radio Times...because it's easier to browse and more difficult to miss probable goodies.
And if you don't want to pay...Saturday's Daily Mail (Dad gets it!) is by far the best for TV.
....and "Moving On" is just about to start...a different story every day this week. Previous seasons of this have been excellent.

Yes think Radio Times would do the trick with a bit of usage.

Any fans of Bette Midler - two programmes are on BBC1 tomorrow night around 11pm and then after a concert she appeared in.
In my opinion jenny the best tv guide by a mile is to be found (free) in the Daily Mail every Saturday.I'ts flawless and really clearly laid out in a simple fashion and theres always interesting articles to read and some good puzzles and word games. Although I don't agree with d/mails politics credit where it's due for a top guide.
Zingzing http://www.zingzing.co.uk/tvguide/ lets you arrange channels into the order you want and shows the next 7 hours of programmes for 20 channels at a time on screen (or, at least, it does with the way I have my browser set up) - you can simply scroll or drag the display to show the rest of the channels and other times, as well as having buttons taking you immediately to other days.
