Oh dear. Labour were at rock bottom in Rochester anyway. Seems the Shadow AG just couldn't help herself and started to dig......

Anyone know what time the result is expected? If it's not too late I might stop up.

Adam Boulton on Sky reckoned it would be around 3 a.m.
I find that astonishing, as did the UKIP Deputy Leader.
I'd have guessed around 1 ish, but hey-ho.
It's probably because there's such a huge pile of UKIP votes to count.
It's doubtless similar to my front doorway on Valentine's Day......

The mistake these idiots always seem to make make is that they think they're talking exclusively to their own little gang of like minded cronies.
They seem to forget that there's a whole load of other people out there who are going want an explanation for the snobbery/bigotry/misogyny/racism/stupidity/nastiness that they're displaying for the whole world to see.

I think you have summed up UKIP party activists very nicely. I may be in a minority of one, but I am bemused that this incident has caused such a fuss. It's a sign of the times, no doubt: social media comment, by whoever, leads to over-reaction, recrimination, indignation and often resignation. And all because in this case a comment was made, which had it been made by another party would have been regarded as "good old UKIP telling it like it is". Except in this case she is spot on, if ill-advised and naive in the current climate.
What did she say: "This is Rochester"? And so it was I believe.
I can't wait for the van owner's story in the Sun:

This is the image that she posted, and we all know that the true working class that Labour is supposed to represent, live in detached houses with a Mercedes-Benz and a Jaguar on the drive.
