emmerdale is set in the village of Esholt just outside Leeds, here is some info on it.

According to this site they no longer use Esholt but have moved to a set in Harrogate.

The location is in the grounds of Harewood House near Leeds. It was moved partly because of sightseers. I found the following on the web:

Harewood's grandeur is such that it even has its own church, one of the first sights you see as you enter the estate. But one attraction you won't be able to see is the Emmerdale film set - it's on the Harewood estate but not open to the public. Still, if you're a fan, there are regular tours around the Leeds TV studios.
