Youve Been Framed Uk?

Currently watching youve been framed with harry hill. Why are so many of the clips been shown American? Isnt this a UK show? EVERY clip with speech shows American accents, ALL, the cars have American number plates etc. Are there no English clips to show?

It's strange that they show American clips because ITV say..."we much prefer to watch YOUR funny moments, so we’re really grateful for every video you send in – we wish we could show them all on TV and give you all £250! Unfortunately, as we receive thousands every day, that’s just not possible."

I totally agree, some of the dates on them are 10, 15 even 20 years ago! There must be plenty of up to date, English clips they could show. Maybe they don't pay for the ancient American clips?

Hmmm, interesting, a friend of mine submitted a very funny video taken on a mobile and it was refused a couple of months ago. They obviously didn't find it THAT amusing.

Not just YBF , a lot of the 'police reality shows' have clips that are years out of date. Also the 'binge drinking' videos are usually 4 to 10 years out of date.
Is the truth that we are a lot better behaved now but it does not make good TV?

Maybe a lot of recent clips are obviously fake. How many times do you have a camera running when something funny or 'out of the ordinary happens'?

So a half hour show of all UK submitted clips at £250 each would come to a lot more than buying in some foreign (most USA but some Dutch and Asian ) at a far lower rate. This is simple economic sense.

The fact they are older than Moses doesn't matter. We'll get our money's by using the same clips in a different order and say 'NEW YBF' and they won't notice.

Has had it's day and I cannot see the humour in seeing people going so close to killing or maiming themselves as being funny in the first place.

If you watch the closing credits, you will see that YBF buy clips from similar programmes in other countries (I seem to remember one of the contributors is German TV). They also sell the British clips to those TV stations for those countries to use.
