Sky+ Zapper

I've got a new sky+ zapper (somehow the old one is MIA) but it doesn't search on demand programmes the way the old one used to - on that one I pressed 'tv guide' and then just typed what I was looking for in the search box but this new one comes up with a different box when I start typing with three categories to search for (title, genre and sub title) and it's not finding stuff that I know is there. Any ideas, thank you.

I don't think its the zapper, I think you have lost your broadband connection. Try turning off the power to your broadband hub and turning off the power to your sky+ box, wait a couple of minutes then turn both back on.

sorry I meant broadband connection to your sky+ box, not lost broadband altogether. this happens to me if the weather gets bad.

Thanks woof, I had lost my broadband connection because himself 'thought' I didn't use it (ggrrrr - spent ages googling and messing about with the stupid thing).

so are you now sorted and is himself conscious again after being frying panned?

All sorted now - can't get too mad as he had taken the thing off the TV to try and help my friend with something to do with her internet.

To be fair to him he has done loads for my friend since her husband left her (all the bloke stuff - fixing her car, MOTs, plumbing, electrics, sorting her tv, etc) that I would be a bit of a cow to have a go at him (he's quite nice really).
