Premier Inns Pricing Structure

What is it with Premier Inns prices?

I'm planning a cycling trip (Trans Pennine Trial) for a few of us this year. Looking at a few Premier Inns along the way as they accommodate cyclists and I'm not a fan of small B&Bs.

They don't seem to have any rhyme or reason to their prices though. For example our first nights stop puts us in South Manchester. They have an ideal one in West Didsbury that is twice as much as the one more Central to Manchester.

What is the reason for this? Do the prices change from day to day. I don't mind riding a few miles out of the way to save £30 but how do they come up with the price structure?

Mainly supply and demand, I have stayed at the West Didsbury a few times and it has always been full, so have never got an offer. If they struggle to fill rooms elsewhere that is where you will get the deals.

I'm sure ubasses is right, they'll sell their rooms for as much as they can get away with; I doubt there will be any single pricing across the whole group, except for promotions. Maybe lots of people find the West Didsbury one ideal?

Now to look at cheap hotels in Doncaster - lol!
