RIP Anne. Haven't watched Coronation street for years but I remember her. Wasn't she Ray Langton's girlfriend at one time.

Good gracious - that's a shock, didn't know she was ill. Wondered where she had been recently in Corrie ......

I knew she was ill. Cancer, heavy smoker etc. but only yesterday in the papers it was saying that she was thinking of leaving and the writers were going to write her out. That was only yesterday.! I was no fan of Corny St and never watched it but I know the character. She'd been in it for years. RIP to the lady.

RIP. remember many years ago seeing a programme and she was caring for some elderly people. don't watch corrie. but remember reading about her character. she seemed to be a nice person off-screen.

All I saw on social media last night was "RIP DEIDRE".
Not being a fan of Corrie I assumed the character had died.
I realise this morning it is the actress. How we must have taken the character to our hearts to refer to her fictional name, not her real name.

Very sad that she's died. I haven't watched Corrie for years, but I did during the Deirdre/Ken/Mike Baldwin situation. She was great in that.
