The answer given was Coronation Street .Not correct because he appeared in Crossroads as Cliff Leyton in 1973. He was never in Corrie until 1974

I can remember Johnny Briggs from the late 50s when he played a supporting role to Raymond Francis in No Hiding Place.

It depends how you word the question. . They should have left the word "first" out or put what second soap did he appear in as Mike Baldwin. . And they got the year wrong as well. They also should have said 1974 not 1976

If they referred to Mike Baldwin, 1976 is correct.

JB had a minor part (as a character only known as Frank) in a single episode of Corrie on 1 May 1974 but he didn't appear as Mike Baldwin until 11 October 1976.
