DVD of 24 All series

As a 60 year old semi retired civil servant, my son recently introduced me to 24. I have now watched series one to four.
Although intending to watch it "now and then" once started i found it very difficult to stop and am very anxious for the next series. Do your readers think it is really that good or am I really sad?
If Cristo is reading this please note I did not fall asleep for a second throughout the whole series!

in my opinion it was good - i stuck with it for series 1 & 2 but found series 3 to be a real chore as it was all essentially the same plot.i missed series 4 altogether.

i found it annoying that jacks daughter gets in more trouble than jack ! i think it was series 2 or 3,in the space of a few hours(episodes) she was in a car accident,was attacked by a mountain lion and then held hostage by her saviour in his nuclear bunker! the girl's a liability !!!

Hello dilligaf,, not sad at all! Although we never really got into 24, we were the same as you with the Sopranos, Deadwood and Six Feet Under.

I am a real 24 fan and there are a lot of us here on AB.  There should be a new series starting in UK next Jan or Feb.  Looking forward to it already.

I'm with you dilligaf. Once I get a 24 boxed set it gets devoured in the blink of an eye. I just bought the 4th series and have managed to watch 7 hours in 2 days even though I desperately want to string out the enjoyment for longer than a week! In my mind it's the best 'thriller' drama there has been, and really highlights a genre that we can't seem to make properly in the UK (or perhaps just don't have the budget).

Thank you to all those who replied. It's nice to know I am not as sad as my wife said I am for watching 24. I think the real truth is she couldnt understand it. Some things are too complicated for the fairer sex.
