2022 World Cup Final On Dec 23Rd ?
If this was enough of a farce already, it now looks as if the 2022 World Cup Final will be two days before Xmas !
Qatar should never have been awarded the World Cup in the first place. Didn't anybody check if any grass grew there before a decision was made ?

I don't really follow football very much but as most of the Teams will come from Europe and December is bang right in the middle of their season, who is going to be happy about releasing key club players for what might be 4-6 weeks ?
FIFA should just cancel this altogether and admit they made a huge error in awarding the World Cup to a entirely unsuitable location.

Some of the European teams will benefit more, mikey, because they have a winter break (Some are enforced because of the weather).
There was a stat on Sky Sports News earlier, that up to 110 Premier League games will have to be re-scheduled. 48 in the Champions League. Then there would be League Cup games to add to the mix as well. Do FIFA honestly think that the Premier League clubs will allow their players to have three or four weeks rest and then start again on July 1st, to allow the World Cup to be shoehorned in?
