I have watched Corrie since the beginning. Have missed maybe half a dozen episodes at most. But it has changed so much. There is hardly any resemblance
To how it used to be. They have brought in too many weird characters all at once. I get confused who is who. I know I'm sad but I am really sad about all of this. What do you think?
They wont keep viewing figures up with these latest storylines. I've gone off it too in the past few months. I rarely watch it now, not really getting any enjoyment from it.
Anyone old enough to remember the scene where Ena Sharples and Elsie Tanner approached each other from opposite directions of the street, handbags swinging, a pastiche of High Noon or some other such western. Pure comedy gold, and that was in the 60s.
i miss hilda and stan ......her awful singing and her muriel on the wall priceless lol.the storylines lately are so far fetched but i like the chap who plays andy /gavin .
I haven't watched it for years. I used to love it, but stopped watching for the reasons you say, Caran.
When there were people who looked like models (Nicky Tildesley in particular) and there was doom and gloom everywhere, I'd had enough.
Why is Gail inebriated?
Gail was funny last night, I laughed out loud. Very few characters I like and not credible story lines. But I'm looking forward to seeing Roy's new relationship develop down at the allotment.
Caran, stop watching if it's making you sad. I used to watch Emmerdale simply for the scenery of the Dales but you only see the inside of the pub most of the time and the story lines and characters are ridiculous so I've stopped watching. I listen to The Archers @ 7pm instead of at 2pm the next day now. Haven't missed it at all.
