Does anyone know of an App that you can install on an IPhone, that if you break down on a Motorway it can tell you where exactly you are? Like which junction you are nearest to? Whether you are north bound or southbound?
Any info that you could give to the AA or road rescue guys?
Reason, my daughter has recently passed her test and has been driving around but not really motorway savvy, it occured to me that sometimes in the dark on a busy motorway would any of us be able to know exactly where we are if we broke down?
Thanks
But you must get out of the car if humanly possible hc4361 - the danger from truckers straying onto the hard shoulder is just too great to risk staying in the car.
Google maps is probably installed. When she goes on the motorway get her to put her journey in before leaving. Then if she breaks down she will be able to see where she is as it will be tracked by the blue blob as I call it. Or if you have another Apple device use the find my iPhone facility to find her. I use this to find out where my partner is. He is always amazed when I find him & still hasn't sussed how I do it.
You are assuming the OP is able to walk. I am able bodied and wouldn't fancy walking along the motorway with 2 or more small children, especially in the dark.
