Suits Last Thursday!

Wow!
What I love about American dramas is the perceived level of attention paid by the audience.
They expect you to know why Louis knowing about Mike is such a big deal - and indeed what it is that he knows.
In a British drama, anything from last week is re-hashed for the hard of thinking - never mind three series ago, which is where this scenario started.
I love Louis. he tries so hard to be nice, and to be liked, and appreciated, and he is so emotional.
I love the way Rick Hoffman plays him - every little thought flashes across his face - wonderful portrayal.
I can't wait for Thursday!

They didn't explain things that cropped up that linked to previous series, you were just supposed to know, and have been paying attention - so much more refreshing that being spoon-fed every little turn in the plots.

Oh Hill Street....I can still remember watching the first one and feeling my brain explode. Its now out on DVD, just bought series one. They did the dump you in the middle of things thing too, like you weren't "told" that Joyce was the lover and Faye was the wife, it was just made clear. Stunning character development too!
