Just caught the end of this tonight but was struck by the doctor's wife. She is so like an actress who is often on tv, but I cannot remember her name. Can anyone help?

No, definitely an English actress, sometimes plays a woman who has been at the hard end of life, a bit rough, heart of gold sort. Looked for her in Clocking out etc but no luck. Thanks all.

When you say doctor's wife, do you mean the retired doctor who fell from his horse and was brought in to A&E or one of the doctors who works there?
