You know sometimes you ask a question knowing that no-one will know the answer - but still ask it anyway? -well here goes!:

At the beginning of the film 'Colors' released in '92, Dennis Hopper & Sean Penn are driving along in their cop car and a country & western type song is playing in the background - does anyone know what it is, as it doesnt feature on the soundtrack CD.

ok first of all, the film was released in 1988, at least im pretty certain this is the one you were talking about as it has sean penn and there are no other films by that name, secondly it was not Dennis Hopper it was Robert Duvall, Dennis Hopper directed the film.

Finally in answer to your question im pretty certain the song you're loooking for is "One Time One Night" by Los Lobos

kind of guessed at '92 -  had it on video many years ago. I stand corrected.

noticed another glaring mistake in my original post: It wasn't Dennis Hopper, it was Robert Duval - Dennis Hopper directed the film.
