I would have thought it would be 'all hands to the pump' when it came to Labour in Scotland, anne, not some daft, dismissive remark, unless you are a confirmed Nationalist extreme left-winger.

I know it was - but Tony has been out there on the stump when it comes to Ed.....I would have thought north of the wall, they, Labour, would have been throwing their heavyweights behind JM, inexperienced as he is.

But then the Shadow Chancellor is bouncing cheques, I see....maybe not.

so what's your prediction, anne, as to how many SNP seats?

I have 'long' argued that the SNP/Labour divide is somewhat irrelevant, as it's all 'left wing' - the real issue is what happens to the Liberal seats, 11 is it? - how they divide is very important to the overall UK national position.....

I agree with you there, the infamous 'silent majority' will speak, my feeling is somewhere between 22 and 28 seats to the Nationalists and certainly not the whole lot, bar one or two. That's still an impressive gain. Anyone who is suggesting an additional £140 bln of expenditure, financed by credit, is off their tiny, International Socialist, mind.
