I had a friend from Namibia and she told me that the word tji-ru-mbu (pronounced she roo boo) meant white woman in her language, but everytime she said it she laughed, I asked her if it was an insulting way of saying white woman and she said no but still laughed when saying it. I asked her did it mean something like 'woman without a tan' as a joke but she said no it just meant white woman, does anyone know what it really means, as i am no longer in touch with her. Also she not only spoke Namibian and several other languages, but also the language of her village which i cant remember the name of.
