Deidre just happened to have left a note in it saying which song she wanted played at her funeral, the tin Tracey remembered as they were arguing over which music she would have wanted. Really? How convenient.

Only in Soapland:-)
How did they write her out in it?
They just said she died on her way home.
Not really, my dad left a list of his funeral wishes. When he passed away it was lovely to know that we had carried out his final wishes to the full, without having to make decisons about what we thought he would have wanted. In fact it made things so much easier for us at such a difficult time that my siblings and I made a pact to do exactly the same for ourselves now.
It's not just in Soapland surely? I know many people who have discussed and written down their plans including music.
Yes, as have i with my daughters. So there is no need for them to suddenly remember my old Quality Street tin where i keep all my secret things:-)
Rightio.
Ken, let me know where you keep your ante post betting slips ;o)
Panky, that had me laughing because i had an ante post bet @ 10/1 on Preston's Joe Garner to be the leading scorer in Div 1 last season. When it was confirmed that he was, i had to search through all my on line accounts (12) to find the bet as i had not written down which firm i had used. I eventually found it in my Boyles account - which i very rarely use:-).
Joseph Locke singing We'll make a bonfire of our troubles will hopefully be providing the background music as I'm consigned to the fiery furnace
It's the oven for me, too, Sandy, though i doubt they will play my first choice of song - Friend Of The Devil by The Grateful Dead:-)
She didnt die on the way home she was sat in Bev's garden and passed away
^^^

That's me told, then, that's what i get for only half taking notice:-/
Leaving a list a makes it easier but things can still go wrong. Do you remember the lady who wanted Gracie Fields singing "Sally" and by mistake they played her singing "wish me luck as you wave me goodbye".
^^ great song to go out on!!

Its not the making of the list, its the suddenly remembering the Quality Street tin and voila! She hadn't mentioned it to her family but there it was. I don't think looking for a hidden tin would be top of my agenda.
I thought it was funny how the Vicar was happy to just sit around while they searched the house.
We have left a list of what we want for our funerals and a note of where our wills are. In fact anything we can think of to make life easier for our son when we shuffle off, is all in one place.
Convenient? Methinks a handwriting expert is called for.
No, I've made a note regarding songs etc., and my funeral is paid for.
