I got quite a few right tonight as well (even a few on The Wall) - purring here!

OC must have been made whilst dear Victoria was in the latter stages of pregnancy - goes to show that you are not just a 'womb on legs' (which is how the medics made me feel). Of fantasy dinner-guests, she comes in at number 1.

Does anyone else feel that (much though Monday evenings are great for quizzing and brain exercise) the evening they would prefer them to be spread through the week? I know I would, there would be something to look forward to every night.

Of course, it's not very fair. You can blurt out any old answer in your living room without worrying about letting your team-mates down. (Or, more importantly, looking like a berk to millions of viewers)

My son was on UC last year, and I can assure you he is not an expensively educated toff!

I was in the audience and nearly stood up and shouted "that's my boy"

The worst thing is when you know the answer but decide to keep quiet for fear of looking a berk, and then discovering that what you were going to say was right after all... (see, eg, the first starter, the one about genetics, table football...) I'm also annoyed with myself for forgetting about Jack Hobbs and Gettysburg, although I think the last one I wasn't listening properly what with everything going so fast at that point.

And it's even more annoying when the other lot get bonuses that you happen to know but can't say a bloody thing about.

Incidentally the five points they got at 13:05 are totally unfair as the answer he gave is far too general... :P Although maybe we got away with "african-american union" later on.

Yeah it was pretty mental that one. The camera kindly didn't cut back to me after that late incorrect buzz-in (although actually I don't think I'd have known the word "hypersonic" anyway) when I fell forward in despair as we slipped further behind still. It killed when those bonuses on Einstein came up -- bread-and-butter really. And then we got back into it, and it was a tense finish to say the least!

Did you end up outscoring me, then ?
