I would like to see Imelda Staunton - Gypsy - in Savoy Hotel in London. I don't know London very well so from Belfast can anybody suggest how to go about it.

Like where would I get the flight from here in Belfast to what airport in London and the best hotel near Savoy - thank you.

There are flights from Belfast to Heathrow, Stansted and Gatwick

The Strand Palace Hotel is right opposite The Savoy Hotel/Theatre in The Strand and has just had a refurb. I have stayed there many times and it is great, Covent Garden and Leicester Square in close proximity - AND it will be a lot cheaper than The Savoy. I would imagine Heathrow would be the most accessible airport.

murray - too nervous for the tube and don't understand it. I only plan to see the show and home next day.

Never had reason to use it but doesn't London City Airport connect with Belfast?

thanks for your answers - very much enlightened and indeed the idea of Strand Palace is much cheaper than Savoy Hotel. There is so much going on here as friends have just come back from their own holidays. Other friend doesn't want to see Imelda - I may resort to friend from Plymouth. We could hang out for a few days and she knows London and the tubes and loves it too. She keeps in touch a lot so will see what she says. Thanks all

City airport would be best option if you can get a flight there

FlyBe operate between Belfast City and London City. I just looked on their website for a couple of dates in August and it looks like you might get away with about £100 round trip.
