I was sure that I had read this article earlier or even yesterday but then decided that I had imagined it.

What has the world come to? Wonder what he has 'allegedly' done.
maybe they forgot to chill the 'bolly' and defrost the lobster tails. I used to like him but it seems he is becoming a caricature of himself. He had an extremely important job at Sotherby's being full director and CEO -maybe fame has gone to ones head.
I understand he has done something of a 'Clarkeson' and had a row with the production team.

Shame - I do like him on Bargain Hunt, but there are plenty of other antique presenters (that's the subject not their age!) who can do the job as well.
:-)

You'd think a chap of his calibre would have the breeding to know it's not done to row with the hired help. Behaviour like that should be left to middle-class oiks like Clarkson.
Probably he's developing a problem with megalomania.
what behaviour? its pure speculation that he has done a 'Jeremy' and more likely to be an argument about the way the programme was being produced.
Maybe he got scundered with all the stage management and scripted dialogue and seeing items from half a mile away
Retrochic - "what behaviour? its pure speculation that he has done a 'Jeremy' and more likely to be an argument about the way the programme was being produced."

It's not speculation - the story that Mr Wonnacott has been suspended after a row with production staff has been carried in various papers.

My comparison with JC was only the 'row' bit - I did not wish to infer that Mr Wonnacott has assaulted anyone.
I can't stand the bloke, whenever i've accidently caught him on the box he makes me cringe, thinks he's witty but he's an ar*e, a right kno* head!!
Yesterday the BBC said it was due to a 'row' with the producer.
andy -not true -the story is 'after an alleged' row. The BBC is refusing to comment and the row or the manner in which the row occurred is pure speculation. Call me old fashioned but I can hardly see the lovely Tim throwing a punch at a producer -probably all very above board and academic.
I certainly wouldn't choose to spend any time with him.
He's going to Sky to do an auction programme on vintage cars with Jeremy C and the boys, then.......

I suppose that brown, leathery, antique tool aka David Dickinson will try and make a comeback?
now you are talking slimey..........
Can't stand this, look at me I'm the star of this program, plonker
Question Author
Anita Manning would be my choice for a replacement.
Dickinson's on the wrong channel. He always looked to me to have been resurrected after lying too long in a peat bog.
The Telegraph reported that he is fairly high-handed and the production of the programme is not all luvvy-duvvy, happy-clappy, chic.....and, furthermore, it is totally 'staged,' as are the competitive cook-programmes.....

^^^^^^ Never! lol!
bbc is now lazy bargain hunt on all the time wonnacot is an affected twit when i see him on telly i want to throw things at the set.
