If not there will be a lot of cast members (in the long term) being sent to prison for murder or hiding a murder. Although given the competence of the local police to solve any crime I suppose anything is possible

Yes I think you have a point, in the best tradition of TV drama the killers never get away with it, and since we have heard nothing of members of the Platt family leaving, he may make a come back.

Well at least while he was with Emmerdale he failed to 'cull' Eric Pollard, since he was to have supposed to have murdered his wife at the time of the plane crash.
