Has anyone noticed in the film, i have just watched, that when they are queing up to see the vogon clerk, in the queue there is a robot that is shown in view a couple of times with a square head. I am sure i am not the first to see it but it is the robot "Marvin" from the TV series. Is that not amazing, it is to me. Have you seen it?

I haven't even seen the film, but yes, it is indeed the original Marvin - it was mentioned quite a lot in all the previews.

yeah, there are plenty of little homages to the history of the hitchhikers guide throughout the film.

for example the face of the answerphone message from magrathea (i think it's that bit) is simon jones who originally played arthur in the tv and radio shows

and right at the end of the film when the ship is transforming into lots of random objects, the last object is actually douglas adams!
