It Was Alright In The 1970S...

Last weekend's 'It Was Alright In The 1970s' featured a "daredevil" on a pushbike. Then some rock music from 1974 came on (briefly), which I've been trying to identify for years.

If you watched it, do you know the music? It is still available on www.channel4.com (I don't really want to register unless I have to...)

I recorded it on Sky so just fast forwarded it to the part you mention.

You say "briefly" and it certainly is brief (I assume you mean the part that is mostly drums while he rides his bike).

I have no idea what it is as it is so brief (it sound vaugely "heavy metal" but that is about it)

I've just watched it, and didn't hear any rock music. The only music I heard during anything to do with bikes was the Blue Peter theme tune.

Well I just wasted 20 minutes of my life setting up an account, changing my settings to allow all the ads, sat through loads of compulsory ads and fast forwarded until I found the clip- and listened to a drum roll that lasted about a second and coudl have been anything. Sorry, I haven't a clue and can't face trying to find it again to listen again

Well, we've all moved on, but I've since found out (thanks to Shazam) that it was Cozy Powell, 'And Then There Was Skin'. Taken me almost 30 years to discover that!

Thanks for the update. I suppose we should have guessed Cozy Powell as he was pretty popular in late 73/74- I was a big fan of his singles
