Gregory Porter's Balaclava

Does anybody know why Gregory Porter always wears that tight black balaclava, with a big cap pulled down to his eyes? He's got a great voice, but he looks like a total prat!

Could he not have removed the balaclava and hat as a mark of respect for the Festival of Remembrance? And as for asking that self-satisfied old croaker Rod Stewart to sing at it - is that the best we have to offer our service men and women?

I think him wearing that monstrous thing on his head was a total lack of respect of the occasion. Should not have been allowed to perform.
Loved seeing Rod Stewart. He did well.

If that is so, why is he often invited to sing beautifully at meaningful occasions when they know that is who he is?

I confess to being bemused by this point of view.

Mamma we normally do not disagree.
He looked a prat. He must have known is appearance was unsuitable for the occasion. Therefore I say he was a prat. But we could agree to differ.

To be honest, I was listening to his singing - rather than looking at his headgear.

His rendition of Amazing Grace was excellent.

I have no problem with his singing. He has a superb voice. Just his appearance.
