Her indoors likes to tune in to this , to have a laugh ;and also drags me
along , if i'm around .

There are really some cr8p ones - like the one last night where the groom flies off to spain to try and arrange a beach wedding ; but couldn't find an hotel willing to host it .
So he returns to GB and arranges a ceremony in an open top bus ( yes your'e correct it rained during the ceremony ) .

The wedding breakfast ( held in a dingy old club ) was the pinacle of good cuisine - Chips and kebab - i kid you not .

Do you tune in to them ?

No.

I like almost no 'reality' TV - it's a cheap opportunity to point and laugh at people who have no idea what they are doing!
Sometimes but it's more my OH that watches it. He finds it funny how some men really don't seem to have a clue what their partner likes and how selfish some can be.

Did you see the one where the lads went to Vegas for the stag do and he arranged for the girls to go bingo!! ?
Worth it for a free wedding though, Andy.
I've seen the odd trailer, which is why I have never watched the show!

You would think that the bride and groom would discuss beforehand what she likes and what she definitely don't want .

You know - ' darling - i want a mermaid dress , with sweet heart neckline......'

But then i don't suppose their programme would get aired , if there wasn't an element of differentness ( yes i've made that word up ) .
Probabaly written into the agreement which they have to sign
ummmm - //Worth it for a free wedding though, Andy. //

If everything works, then yes, absolutely.

But what are the chances of a twenty-something bloke arranging something that his wife is going to enjoy and remember forever, and not plan that Star Wars Convention-themed wedding that he always dreamed of!!
They could always renew their vows with their own cash.
it's very predictable, invariably the future bride visits a beautiful country mansion to imagine her perfect day and the groom visits a football ground or a car park

Some of them do pull a good one off - like the one where it was arranged around the pride and prejudice theme
As Bazile says, there would be no 'entertainment' if the groom chose what they bride wanted.

These reality shows thrive entirely on pre-set conflict situations - such as the holiday swap show. If you like lazing on the beach all day, turning slowly lobster-coloured, and then spend all night lying under a bar table unable to remember how to breathe, then the notion of a trekking holiday in the Amazon is hardly likely to appeal - and vice versa!

Yet under the imagined pretext that each family will 'educate' the other into a different style of holiday - taking attendant children who have no say along with them - they each endure two weeks in the vacation equivalent of the Ninth Circle Of Hell, and then fall out either then, or afterwards, or both.

You may guess that I would run a mile from this - free holidays or not!!
It never ceases to amaze me the stupid ideas the grooms come up with, often outdoors weddings are ruined by heavy rain, like you mention Baz. I have yet to see a groom who cares about the bridesmaids and nearly always buys them cheap, horrible dresses and never seems to know their sizes !! One groom made his beautifully dressed and made up bride do a bunjy jump, another made her jump from a plane ! BUT, no matter how much the bride complains, it always ends up happily and they nearly always say 'he done amazing' !!
