Apparently, when she had Zoe she actually had twins, the other was a boy. He was taken away, and kat did not know about the other baby.

Kat met up with one of the nuns (from the place where she had Zoe) who told her that she had actually had twins (a boy named Luke). Turns out that Mo knew all about it (Kat's mother didn't want to take on two children), Kat went nuts and Charlie keeled over.
