I saw 5 minutes of Eastenders at my Daughter's tonight,never seen it for years. Shane Ritchie and a Woman,I don't know who she is,were on a Settee with Xmas Cards in the background,surely they should be down by today or am I wrong?

This is going to come as a shock to you, but TV shows and movies don't run in real time. If they did, they would need to be on 24 hours a day, every day.

I don't watch EE, but I guess the stage staff hadn't quite worked out the time frame of the recordings. I would have thought that most people would have taken down their cards and decs by now. But the characters might be as lazy as me and not got around to it yet. :) (I have taken mine down, BTW,.I'm still lazy though)

The characters have had a lot going on. Stacey, whose flat it is, is in the middle of a breakdown, so still having the cards up wouldn't be too unusual.

I'm pretty sure there were still lights around the square on EE. I'm out of touch with the storylines but I'm guessing the events were supposed to have happened over a short time and obviously had to be shown over several days.

It's not written in stone. Here the streets still have all the decs up although the big tree has been taken down.

To "The Chair": I am 75 years old and was truly shocked by your revelation,I always thought Eastenders,Coronation Street,etc. were actual real life,same as Movies,always wondered how they did it. Please,Please don't tell me there is no REAL Santa Claus or even James Bond,as that would really change my life forever.!!
