It is the final series showing his downfall. He died penniless in 1941 after blowing it all.

I think it's brilliant and they did say this series would be darker. The costumes are fantastic and the way they bring various famous people of those times into it ,Elizabeth Arden for example on tonights episode .Poor old Harry is on the road to ruin and what they're showing is true in a way.The Dolly Sisters and his gambling habits,bad investments etc ruined him and he ended up a living in penury in Putney.

Don't agree, I still enjoy it although it is getting darker. Those Dolly Sisters are dreadful!

Apparently when he was penniless, he used to go to Oxford Street and just stare at the store - very sad.

why have they changed the name of Gordon's wife ? she was called Charlotte but in the series she is called Grace,
all the children and other family members have the real names
