At last the writers have injected some more humour into Corrie. Tim has had some fantastic lines recently especially on Fri. Laughed out loud when Ken quoted Chairman Mao and Tim said, 'I didn't even know he spoke English.'

Except the quotation said by Ken was from Oscar Wilde not Chairman Mao

Yes Tim and Sally are a brilliant pairing. There's going to be a lot of fun now she is going to stand as a councillor

I'm surprised that Ken got it wrong! (And yes, I know it's not real.)
the script writers got it wrong not ken barlow but think it was meant to be humorous
I think it was Sean who said 'Oscar Wilde' when Ken said Mao.
Still not convinced Sally would go for Tim, a not very bright specimen. But do agree they are the highlight of the show.
The script writers didn't get it wrong, somebody said Oscar Wilde straight after and I think it was Sean.
Sally feels superior to Tim, which she needs in a partner.
Question Author
Ivor, I know it was the scriptwriters who got it wrong and not Ken! What I meant was i'm surprised they wrote that for Ken as he is usually so learned.
The writers didn't get it wrong, it was deliberate and Sean corrected him.

Missed that hc.Thanks
Talking of Ken, I'd like Martha to come back.
