Have never seen Happy Valley. Is it as good as Last Tango?

Happy Valley is VERY different from Last Tango. Much more gritty.

I enjoyed the first couple of series of Last Tango but think its lost its way a bit.

The two are so different, they cannot be compared. Last Tango is brilliant, Happy Valley is brilliant, just not quite as gentle as LT:-)
