Caught some of it. Only watched one episode in full. Found it boring.
Excellent. What we pay our licence fee for.
Breathtaking. Glorious. Compelling. Paul Dano was very convincing and Ade Edmondson was much better than I was expecting.

Loved every minute.

Yes, I enjoyed a lot of it but I'm afraid it was too gory in parts for me. Good production though.
Not my thing but my wife has fallen in love with Pierre
We were absolutely gripped by it. Perhaps a bit "in two minds" after the first episode, but kept with it and completely hauled in .... wonderful stuff. Lily James was superb!
The 'Beeb' are the best in the business when it comes to quality drama - especially so with period drama. And surely, Barsel, you should have expected some goriness - the clue was in the title:-)
In regard of the goriness, the filmography was superb making the gore gorier.
I loved it and I loved the cinematography. I do think the series could have been stretched beyond 6 episodes though.

You're right Ken, I just didn't think it would look so graphic.
Excellent show and the production values especially in the battle scenes were amazing. I loved James Norton and i remember being rather smitten with Alan dobie in the 1972 version too so it must be the uniform oh well Poldark is back soon. Keep calm and carry on.
Thoroughly enjoyed it - well done to the BBC.
Well well done to Harvey Weinstein for being a massive part of the production and letting the bbc take the credit. Imagine it done without the Weinstein company, it would be like the last kingdom. 3 men and six horses and fake snow filmed on Bodmin moor
"letting BBC take the credit" How gallant of them. Weinstein`s company are just the money men.
I'm ashamed to say I couldn't get into it and that annoys me because I don't feel I gave it a chance.
No money no show, not of this calibre.
I disagree. The BBC are well able to produce entertainment of this calibre and they have been doing so without Harvey Weinstein and his ilk. That is why the BBC and Uk television is so innovative (and American TV is so dire)
I disagree.I don't watch terestial tv anymore just selective catch up and the BBC has the least shows I watch. But each to their own.
excellent.Hope the bbc keep it up.
